Les faits se sont déroulés à Crans-Montana, une station de ski dans le canton du Valais dans la nuit de mercredi à jeudi. Plusieurs dizaines de personnes sont « présumées mortes », selon la police locale. Une centaine de blessés, grièvement touchés pour la majorité d’entre eux, dont deux Françaises, ont été pris en charge par les secours. L’hypothèse d’un attentat a été écartée, a affirmé Béatrice Pilloud, la procureure du canton. L’intervention est toujours en cours afin de déterminer les causes de l’incendie et le nombre de victimes.
