Ce 22 janvier, en marge du Forum économique mondial de Davos (Suisse), Donald Trump a signé la charte du « conseil de la paix », une organisation qui a pour but affiché d’œuvrer à la résolution de conflits dans le monde. Selon cette charte, envoyée à différents Etats et dont l’Agence France-Presse (AFP) a obtenu une copie, un ticket d’entrée de 1 milliard de dollars serait exigé pour obtenir un siège permanent.
La Maison Blanche avait annoncé qu’en vertu du plan pour mettre fin à la guerre dans le territoire palestinien de la bande de Gaza, soutenu par Washington, un conseil de la paix présidé par Donald Trump serait formé. Mais le projet s’avère être davantage une initiative bien plus vaste que la seule question de Gaza, et semble en faire un véritable substitut à l’ONU.
