La Russie a lancé, tôt samedi 24 janvier, des attaques contre les deux plus grandes villes d’Ukraine, Kiev et Kharkiv, faisant au moins un mort dans la capitale, et une trentaine de blessés au total, selon un bilan provisoire.
« Kiev subit une attaque massive de l’ennemi », a écrit le maire de Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, sur Telegram. Même réaction de son homologue à Kharkiv, dans le nord-est du pays : « Malheureusement, Kharkiv a déjà subi de tels bombardements, mais les dégâts
sont très importants et l’attaque est d’une violence extrême », a déploré Ihor Terekhov.
Moscou a intensifié ses attaques sur le réseau énergétique ukrainien, provoquant d’importantes coupures de courant, alors qu’une vague de froid frappe le pays. Dans le même temps, des pourparlers ont eu lieu à Abou Dhabi entre Américains, Russes et Ukrainiens pour tenter de mettre fin à la guerre.
