Lors de sa rencontre avec le premier ministre britannique, Keir Starmer, au manoir de Chequers, près de Londres, jeudi, la première ministre danoise, Mette Frederiksen, a reconnu que son pays traversait « une période difficile ». « Chacun reconnaît que nous avons de bons amis, de solides alliés, et que les Européens restent unis, ne se divisent pas et s’en tiennent à nos valeurs communes, même dans un monde en pleine mutation. C’est extrêmement important pour nous tous », a-t-elle dit.
