Le Mexique a déployé 2 500 soldats supplémentaires dans l’ouest du pays, une mesure qui se veut « dissuasive » face à une vague de violences après la mort d’« El Mencho », l’un des principaux barons de la drogue, a annoncé, lundi, le ministre de la défense, Ricardo Trevilla. « Environ 7 000 soldats étaient déjà stationnés dans l’Etat de Jalisco, donc la présence militaire va être renforcée », dans cette région où sévit le redouté Cartel de Jalisco Nouvelle Génération (CJNG), qui était dirigé par Nemesio Oseguera, alias « El Mencho ».
