Des perquisitions étaient en cours, lundi 16 février au matin, dans plusieurs lieux, dont l’institut du monde arabe (IMA) à Paris, dans le cadre de l’enquête visant Jack Lang pour ses liens financiers présumés avec Jeffrey Epstein, a communiqué Pascal Prache, patron du Parquet national financier (PNF), dans un communiqué.
Le PNF avait ouvert le 6 février une enquête pour soupçons de « blanchiment de fraude fiscale aggravée » visant l’ancien ministre et sa fille, Caroline Lang.
Si aucune charge ne pèse à ce stade contre Jack Lang, qui a quitté la tête de l’IMA récemment sous la pression, les documents rendus publics par la justice américaine mentionnent son nom des centaines de fois dans des échanges avec Jeffrey Epstein, et révèlent des liens d’intérêt avec le financier et prédateur sexuel américain.
