Le Parquet national financier (PNF) ouvre une enquête pour « blanchiment de fraude fiscale aggravée » visant Jack Lang et sa fille Caroline, a appris l’Agence France-Presse vendredi 6 février.
Cerné d’appels démissionner de la présidence de l’Institut du monde arabe (IMA) à Paris, Jack Lang devra s’expliquer dimanche sur ses liens avec le financier américain et criminel sexuel Jeffrey Epstein auprès du ministère des affaires étrangères français, principal financeur de l’IMA, le gouvernement n’excluant aucune option sur le mandat de l’ancien ponte socialiste.
Caroline Lang, fille aînée de l’ancien ministre, a démissionné de la tête d’un syndicat de producteurs de cinéma après la révélation de liens d’intérêt avec l’ex-homme d’affaires.
Le nom de Jack Lang et celui de sa fille Caroline apparaissent dans une nouvelle salve de documents publiés le 30 janvier par le ministère de la justice américain, notamment pour une transaction immobilière « offshore » au Maroc et une société fondée dans un paradis fiscal.
